Two buses carrying high school students from the Pallouriotissa lyceum were involved in an accident on Monday lunchtime
According to traffic police chief, Yiannakis Charalambous the collision occurred at a at 12.45pm at a traffic light on the Koutrafa – Astromeritis road.
A dual cabin pick up truck in front of the two buses reduced speed, and the bus crashed into the vehicle from behind. The second bus then collided into the one travelling in front.
No serious injuries were reported. However, three students were slightly injured and were taken to the Evrychou infirmary where they received first aid. The three vehicles were slightly damaged.
The students were returning from an excursion to Kakopetria when the accident happened.
