A 31-year-old man was killed in Limassol early on Thursday after slamming into a wall in his car, police said.
Giorgos Yioupis apparently lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a wall on the junction of Paphos and Miltonos Streets at around 4.45 am.
Police said the man had not been wearing is seatbelt and was thrown out of the car during the crash.
Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident but it appeared high speed and failure to use a seatbelt played a decisive role in the man’s death.
