
A teenage pupil was killed in Limassol on Monday evening after he slammed his motorcycle into a car that drove into his lane.
The accident happened on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue at around 8pm. The pupil, around 18, who was speeding, was cut off by a 33-year-old man who drove into the wrong lane while trying to park.
The 33-year-old driver was arrested, police said.
The teenager had not been wearing a helmet and his motorcycle, understood to be a motocross bike, did not have a light.
It was not registered and driving it on public roads is illegal.
